I was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in West Jefferson, Ohio, attended the Ohio State School for the Blind, and graduated from Whetstone High School in Columbus. I lived in California for 20 years. I have a law degree from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and passed the California Bar in 2004. I worked for the State of California for 13 years. I also lived in Phelps New York for 15 years. While in New York, I worked as a Medicare Appeal Officer for 8 years. I am now a freelance journalist working out of Columbus, Ohio.
