New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr suffered a shoulder injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Carr came down hard on his shoulder after he was sacked by Packers LB Rashan Gary.
After inital xrays were taken at the stadium, Carr was taken to a local area hospital for further testing. NFLN's Ian Rapoport reported that it is believed that Carr has a AC sprain on his right (throwing) shoulder and could miss some time depending on the amount of swelling and his mobility.
The Saints had a 17-0 lead prior to Carr's injury but gave up 18 points in the fourth quarter, losing 18-17 to the Packers. The Saints are now 2-1 and will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday with Jameis Winston at quarterback.
