Brew at the Zoo returns next Friday in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge Zoo Foundation will host its 9th annual "Brew at the Zoo" on Friday, September 29th from 7-10 pm. Adults 21 and older are invited to the Zoo for an evening of food tasting, beer tasting, live music and more. Come sample dozens of craft beers from local and regional breweries and brew clubs as well as pub favorite snack. show off your “safari chic” style while listening to the sound of live music.

Their 9th annual Brew at the Zoo promises to be the best one yet! General admission tickets are available for $60 each with VIP tickets also available for $125 each but they are limited.

The VIP experience includes:

  • An hour early access to the event
  • Skip the lines at express check in

Free Holiday Concert at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans

The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) will be performing a special free holiday concert at the St. Louis Cathedral on Sunday, December 10th, from 6 pm to 7 pm. Jessica Brandt Donates $1.5M to Help Child Abuse Victims

Philanthropist Jessica Brandt has made a very generous donation of $1.5 million dollars to Children’s Hospital in New Orleans to build the Morgan Rae Center for Hope. Brandt's donation is the largest individual gift in hospital history and will allow the facility to expand care for children who are victims of abuse and human trafficking. The new facility will be able to care for 2,000 children each year and serve as a resource for professionals and agencies, providing training and education on child abuse and trafficking.

Christmas in Lafreniere Run/Walk: Holiday Fun!
