The 3rd ranked LSU Lady Tigers defeated the 9th ranked Miami Hurricanes, 55-42 on Sunday night at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Guard Alexis Morris led the Tigers with 21 points and 4 steals to move them forward to the Final Four, for the first time in 15 years. They will face the winner of the Virginia Tech vs. Ohio State game, which takes place tonight at 8 pm CT.

2nd year Tigers Head Coach, Kim Mulkey said, "It will hit me tonight when we're on that plane going back to Baton Rouge, and I'm sitting with my feet propped up tomorrow eating crawfish and go, I get to go back again, to go back to the state of Texas."

LSU's Lady Tigers advanced to the Elite 8 to take on Miami after defeating 2nd ranked Utah, 66-63 in the Sweet 16 on Friday. LSU Forward LaDazhia Williams helped push the Lady Tigers forward, having a career game scoring a team-high 24 points.

Mulkey said of Williams to Sports Illustrated, "Well, LaDazhia, she has tremendous - she does, her footwork is good. She's going to bait you. She's going to look around. Then when she sees an opportunity to give you that up-and-under move or give you a move where she can take that extra step, she can do it one-on-one."

LSU is outscoring opponents by about 25.5 points per game with a + 841 scoring differential. Scoring about 82.7 points per game (ranked 5th in college basketball) while allowing just 57.2 points per contest.

Mulkey knows that while her team has already come far, there is a lot more work to be done. "We're still building. We're still overachieving. We've only won games. We haven't won championships. I didn't come to LSU to win games. I want to win a championship someday."

Now with LSU headed to Dallas, Mulkey will have her chance as the Tigers take their place in the Final Four for the first time since 2008.
