Pork tenderloins are a lean meat that can be cooked so many different ways. They are really great for crockpots or roasting in the oven. When cooked just right, your tenderloins will come out juicy every time but having a good meat thermometer is a must. This recipe for garlic honey tenderloins is really easy to make and so full of flavor. It is a delicious, sweet dish that goes great with some fresh mashed or roasted potatoes or vegetables.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pork tenderloins, about 2 pounds total
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth, low sodium
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, low sodium
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 clove of fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup of pure honey
- A dash of parsley flakes for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and lightly spray a 9 by 13 baking pan with some cooking spray.
- Place the pork tenderloins in the pan, coat with the olive oil and season well with the salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
- In a small mixing bowl, mix the honey, chicken broth, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper together.
- Pour the sauce in the pan all around the pork tenderloins.
- Bake the tenderloins uncovered, for about 20 minutes until the internal temperature just reaches 145 degrees.
- Remove from oven and cover with foil to rest for 5 minutes. (Garnish with parsley, if preferred)
- Slice the tenderloins into 1-inch slices, serve topped with the sauce and enjoy!
