Tina Howell

No bake dessert recipes are some of the best ones to make and these avalanche cookies are no exception. These little bits of deliciousness are so easy. No turning on the oven, no mess, no fuss. Plus, kids love them! The best part is that they can help make them so this is something that the whole family can enjoy together.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 ounces of white almond bark
  • 1 cup of mini milk chocolate chips, divided in half
  • 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cup of miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

DIRECTIONS:

  • Place the mini milk chocolate chips in the freezer (this is so they will not melt when mixing all the ingredients together)
  • Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie baking sheet, this makes it easier to remove them later.
  • Chop up the almond bark into pieces and put in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for about 30 seconds and stir, then heat for an additional 30 seconds and stir. Continue heating and stirring until the bark is creamy and smooth.
  • Stir in the peanut butter into the melted almond bark and mix together until smooth.
  • Add the cereal and stir together to coat. Let cool about 15 minutes.
  • Carefully fold in the mini marshmallows and stir.
  • Next, add half of the chilled mini milk chocolate chips and stir.
  • With a small cookie dough scoop, drop 1 scoop of the mix onto the lined cookie sheet.
  • Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips on top the cookie drops before it starts to harden.
  • Cool completely until firm before serving and enjoy!!
