Plus five more burglaries and five more assaults reported this month
The Olympia Police Department reported on Friday that a juvenile was arrested for an alleged robbery that ended with him being hit by a car while fleeing the scene.
The suspect in question allegedly stole a cell phone and lunged at a store employee with a knife. He then fled the scene when he was hit by a car before being arrested by pursuing officers. No injuries were reported by the Olympia Police Department (OPD).
A reported rape in the area is also under investigation, according to the OPD. The survivor knew the suspect, police say.
Three aggravated assaults were reported in the area as well, according to the OPD. One saw a high school student punch a man after the man asked his girlfriend for a piece of pizza.
Five more auto thefts were also reported by police in the Olympia area--two Hondas, a U-Haul moving truck, a 2010 Ford Escape, and a 1987 Suzuki Samurai. One vehicle was recovered by Lacey Police, the OPD reports.
The OPD also reports five more burglaries occurred in the area. One man was arrested for stealing a bike from a garage.
