Reminiscing the weekend filled with bliss when I brought my family to Cebu, where we enjoyed the sun, sand and sea at Sangri-La Mactan Resorts and Spa. There’s nothing more refreshing than a weekend with ‘nothing’ written on your to-do list. Just having a good time is the main concern, getting to bond with your loved ones, and seeing that smile on their faces.
When I said having ‘nothing’ written on your to-do list, I didn’t mean you couldn’t do anything here– The resort was a warm welcome and is spell-bindingly beautiful. Our rooms overlooked the ocean and the facilities were stunning.
They had ice-cream shoppes, an arcade, amazing cuisine, and tastefully-done interiors. And did I mention that on top of that, their amenities include a luxurious spa, 2 outdoor pools, 6 restaurants (where kids age 11 and under eat free) and 2 bars? Talk about #staycation goals. There’s also a 6-hole golf course, a tennis court and an exercise room, plus mini-golf, a kids’ play area, and a beach cove and marina. Activities such as paddle-boarding, snorkelling and jet-skiing could keep you entertained and on a high for days. As for me, just lounging by the beach and sipping on my fresh coconut already made my day, so I guess you could say my expectations were met and even exceeded. There are so many things you could do here, so I guess leaving the resort wasn’t really an option.
I also brought along these customized handmade bags from Luxesaint and paired it with the most comfortable slipdress from four cranes and I was good to go for the day. Comfort is always something that I considered when dressing up so I went with these pieces so I could easily throw my things inside my native handbag and just take off my dress when I wanted to swim anytime.
These are my summer essentials : A customized Luxesaint “BRB” hat and “LOVE” clutch, Aspiga slip-on sandals from Revolve and Celine sunnies. I always make sure to bring a clutch bag for when I want to keep things light, and a hat for protection from harmful UV rays. Also (not in this picture), I always, always bring either tanning oil or a sunblock to protect my skin and get an even tan.
