What are day clubs?
Day clubs are a luxurious way of experiencing a beach or pool, and Bali has some of the best! It’s the most surefire way of relaxing and enjoying your vacation.
On my most recent trip to Bali, I brought along two girlfriends friends who have never been to the island. So, I just HAD to let them experience some of my favorite day clubs!
1. Oneeighty, The Edge – Uluwatu
Oneeighty at The Edge, Jl Pura Goa Lempeh, Banjar Dinas Kangin, Pecatu, (+62) 361 847 0700, intouch@edge.mesahotelsandresorts.com
In my past trips to Bali, I would keep promising myself I would visit Oneeighty but it never truly fit the itinerary. This time, though, we managed to insert it into the schedule and I couldn’t be happier! It’s got the most breathtaking infinity pool with a glass bottom so you can see the waves below hitting the cliff’s bottom. You can spend a late afternoon soaking in the golden hour rays and lazing around their sand lounge. Trust me, you’ll wish you didn’t have to leave!
2. Karma Beach Bali – Uluwatu
Karma Beach Bali, Karma Kandara Resort, Jl Villa Kandara, Banjar Wijaya Kusuma, Ungasan, (+62 ) 361 848 2222, reservations@karmabeach.com
White sand beach, deep blue waters, and luxurious relaxation: that’s what Karma Beach has to offer and more! The best time to visit would be in the mid-morning so you can secure a sunbed and bake for the rest of the day.
3. Sundays Beach Club – Uluwatu
Jalan Pantai Selatan Gau, Banjar Wijaya Kusuma, Ungasan 80362 (+62) 813-3997-8867, hello@sundaysbeachclub.com Open daily from 9am-10pm.
Next, Sundays is one of the best and most picturesque day clubs in Bali and it’s one you can’t miss out on! The place will be full of beach lovers and sunbathers who just want to have fun in the sand. It’s best to go as early as possible to get the best spot on the beach!
4. Azul Beach Club – Legian
Azul Beach Club, Jl Padma No.2, Legian, Kuta, (+62) 361 765 759, info@azulbali.com.
Right by the coast of Padma Beach, Azul Beach Club offers you relaxation and luxury in their gorgeous and gigantic bamboo treehouse! You can opt to enjoy the view from there or settle in on a lounge chair by the pool at the back! They even have an extensive library along the ground floor so you can spend the day propped up with a good book and a cocktail. You should definitely visit around noon and have lunch served on one of the loungers so you don’t even have to get up!
5. The Lawn – Canggu
The Lawn, Jl Pura Dalem, Canggu, (+62) 361 335 1055, hello@thelawncanggu.com
Another perfect sunset spot in Canggu, The Lawn is one of the best day clubs to cap off a Friday! You can choose to dip into the oceanfront pool or sink your toes in the sand. Either way, you’re sure to have a great time in this boho-chic club! Also, you should definitely stay until late and dance the night away surrounded by beautiful and party-loving people!
6. Potato Head Beach Club – Seminyak

This beach club has always been on the top of the list of people who want to experience Bali in luxury. Additionally, they serve delicious eats and cocktails so you’ll never want for anything. I highly recommend dropping by as early as 11 am to avoid the long lines and chill for the rest of the day!

8. Tropicola – Seminyak

From the same people that brought us Motel Mexicola, it is my honor to present: Tropicola! Your one-stop spot for day drinking, sun-soaking, pool parties, and flamingo-floating fun! This day club is always lively with its primary-colored interiors and super attentive staff. It’s the perfect place to chill with your friends for an alcohol-infused afternoon!
9. La Plancha – Seminyak
Jalan Mesari Beach, Seminyak, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, (+62) 878-6141-6310, Open daily from 10am-midnight.
La Plancha offers one of the most Instagram-worthy beach and surf experiences on the island. The simple yet colorful array of traditional Balinese umbrellas and beanbags can make anyone’s day! Additionally, the hand-painted wooden beams are reminiscent of the founder’s Spanish roots. The best part? No entrance fees! You can just grab a beer and you’re good to go!
10. Cafe del Mar – Canggu
Jl Subak Sari, Canggu, Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia (+62) 361 4471625, info@cafedelmarbali.id
Lastly, this Ibiza-born brand has finally made it to the coasts of Bali and it’s amazing! They have everything you could ever want in a day club: fine dining, day drinking, and sunset-watching! Also, make sure to check out which DJs are playing during your visit bc Cafe del Mar hosts some of the best in the world!
