If you're looking for a unique and historical place to visit in San Francisco, the Presidio is a great option. This former Army fort has a lot to offer, from its beautiful setting and views of the San Francisco Bay to its many historical buildings and monuments.

There are several restaurants on site, including Calibri, a Mexican eatery with delicious Ceviche. You can also check out the Presidio Theater, and several event spaces, such as the former Presidio Officer's Club, which has been transformed into an event space.

Many nonprofits and media organizations have their headquarters at the Presidio. But even if you aren't there on business, it's still a great place to stroll around, or to take a bike ride near the Bay.

You can also learn about the Presidio's past at the Main Parade Lawn, or take a stroll through the new Presidio Tunnel Tops park. Getting to the Presidio is easy, with transportation options like bike rentals. And once you're there, you won't want to miss the Korean War Memorial.

Keep in mind that you will need to pay for parking once you've at the Presidio. There are meters around the area, and you can pay to park in a specific zone.

Crissy Field is another major attraction at the Presidio. It's a great place to picnic with your family or to walk your dog near the water in the Summer or on a warm day.

The Presidio has lots of options for tourist and other visitors, as well as locals.
