Frosty conditions struck the Lamorina area this week, with layers of frost covering roadways, trees, and sidewalks. At Moraga Commons Park in Moraga, California on Tuesday morning, benches and sidewalks were covered with a layer of frost, which persisted into the morning, even as the sun rose and temperatures increased.
Temperatures are expected to remain low tonight and into the later portion of the week. Lows were in the 30s overnight, leading to the frosty conditions, especially in sheltered and low-lying areas. Rain is possible Wednesday night, with a 30% chance of precipitation.
Until then, remember that frosty roads can be slick and dangerous. The risk of accidents increases in cold, frosty conditions, and visibility can be reduced by rising steam as frost melts. Be aware of these conditions if you venture out in Lamorina this week.
