Supporters of current United States President Donald Trump rallied Tuesday morning on the Curtola Road overpass above Highway 24. The overpass, which crosses the busy Highway 24 leading in and out of San Francisco, has become a popular destination for supporters of multiple causes, including supporters of Donald Trump and conversely supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Tuesday morning’s gathering appeared to consist of a small group of individuals, who had set up banners on the chain-link fence covering the bridge. Signs read Trump 2020, and American flags and Don’t Tread on Me flags were also visible.
Because the rally occurred around morning rush hour, a large volume of cars passed under the bridge. Some honked their horns, presumably to show support for the protestors’ cause.
Several other Donald Trump protests have been sighted on the bridge in the last several weeks. The Mirador reports that the protests often coincide with political events, including the national election and electoral college vote.
The protesters also displayed a 1776 is Reborn banner. This is likely a reference with to Mr. Trump’s 1776 Commission, or to several social media channels which refer to the slogan.
