Randy James Michaels is Campbell High School graduate and a father of three daughters who worked as a roofer in Ohio.
On May 16, 2021, 34-year-old Randy was seen leaving the Steel City Bar on east Midlothian Boulevard in Youngstown around 1:30 am.
No one has seen or heard from Randy since.
Detective Sergeant Rick Spotleson told WKBN they viewed security footage that shows Randy leaving the bar, but did not specify if he was in foot or in a vehicle. Randy does not own a car and often walked to his destinations. Where he went after leaving the bar, remains a mystery.
“He just disappeared,” Detective Spotleson told WKBN.
Randy is very close with his mother, Lisa Michaels, who he speaks to several times a day. Lisa told the outlet that it was out of character for her son not to be in regular contact with her and family members. Lisa spoke with Randy the day he disappeared.
“I talked to him earlier that evening,” she told WKBN.
Detectives have followed up on a few leads, but advised none of them turned out to be credible.
“It’s been a nightmare. An emptiness that can’t be filled,” Lisa told WKBN. “My first son. My oldest child. Words can’t describe how much I miss him and his daughters miss him.”
Although hard for her to say, Lisa told WKBN the following, “I don’t feel that he’s here no more. I hope that I can get justice for him.”
Randy James Michaels is 5'7" and weighs 165 pounds. Randy has multiple tattoos on his chest, abdomen and arms.
