Telethia Good was adopted by her parents, Vernon and Emma Good, in Newark, New Jersey when she was an infant when she was just six months old. When she was 2-years old, her family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. By 1978, her parents were divorced and 7-year-old Telethia was living with her mother in Baltimore.

She still visited her father every other weekend and she stayed with him the last two weeks of every summer. The first-grader was a good little girl who enjoyed school and playing with her friends. The young girl never gave her parents any problems. Telethia was described as a happy, well-behaved child; even though she knew that she was adopted at an early age, she knew that she was loved.

On September 9, 1978, Emma took her daughter shopping and out to lunch. The mother and daughter enjoyed a "girl's day" together.

On September 10, 1978, Telethia’s mother left her at her aunt’s house, a few blocks from their home while she attended a church service at Mount Sinai Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ nearby. Telethia, as usual, went outside to play with the neighborhood children.

When her mother returned to pick her up, they were unable to find Telethia. Witnesses said she was last seen playing with some neighborhood children near her aunt’s home.

Emma called the Baltimore Police Department and reported her missing at 10:00 pm that evening. A huge search was conducted. Officers went door-to-door, canvassed the neighborhood, and they searched over 200 acres of Clifton Park. Officials brought in search dogs to assist, but little Telethia has never been seen or heard from again.

In 1988, Latonya Wallace was found raped, stabbed, and strangled. The suspect in her case was known to frequent the area Telethia disappeared from. When asked about Telethia, he first said he knew her, then recanted his story. He is now deceased and was never charged in the disappearance of either girl.

Telethia was 3’4” and weighed 60 pounds when she vanished. Please contact the Baltimore Police Department at 443-984-7395 with any information.
