Police Found Missing Door Dash Driver's Car Fully Engulfed In Flames

Carlos Reyes is a 20-year-old Door Dash driver missing from Danbury, Connecticut. He was last seen by family members on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:00 pm. They reported Carlos and his 2008 gray four-door Infiniti missing on March 31, 2022. Authorities report that Carlos is known to frequent the areas of Danbury, Waterbury, and Naugatuck.

On March 11, 2022, Carlos's Infiniti was found fully engulfed in flames.During their search for the Door Dash delivery driver, police received a report that his vehicle was found in Putnam County, in Brewster, New York. Brewster is about 11 miles west of Danbury. The New York State Police assisted in the search of the area for Carlos, but he has not been located.

On April 7, 2022, authorities conducted a search-and-seizure warrant search at a residence on Ball Pond Road. According to the Danbury Police Department, the "search ended with collecting surveillance footage and evidence associated with the missing person," reports the Daily Voice.

While officers were executing a search warrant on Frontage Road in Newton on April 14, 2022, Christopher Lemke fled on foot. He went into an unlocked residence, kidnapped the person inside at gunpoint, and fled the scene in a vehicle he stole. He was apprehended after a brief pursuit and was charged with reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, criminal possession of a pistol, engaging police in a pursuit, reckless driving, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.

According to the News-Times, 33-year-old Christopher Lemke is also “directly related to the April 7th search warrant execution at a Ball Pond (Road) residence," Danbury Police Lieutenant Mark Williams said. “Investigators are hopeful he can provide them with information to help locate Reyes or his whereabouts.”

Carlos Reyes is 5'10" and weighs 170 pounds.

Petra worked part-time as a cashier and was about to sign the lease on her apartment. Petra had been married for four years to William Muhammad, who she was divorcing. The couple lived in a home owned by William's parents at 35 Schneider Avenue. William was also under investigation for allegations that he abused their young son. Petra had an order of protection against William. The Herald Times-Record reports in February 2005, that she told a judge that her husband hit her in the face. William threatened to kill her, pushed her, and locked her and their son out of their home. She said William disabled the phones to prevent her from calling for help, reports the Times Herald-Record. The protection order prohibited William from harassing Petra. According to Bronx News 12, William filed for custody of the couple's 3 1/2-year-old son in the middle of the divorce. Four months later, Petra Muhammad vanished.
