17-year old Genelle Princess Bradford lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her grandparents, Princess and Ira Bradford.

When Genelle was 5-years old, her mother died from cardiac arrest induced by an asthma attack.

According to her family, Genelle was a quiet and meek girl. They said she was a mild person, yet very smart and funny reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

She enjoyed basketball, and she was an honor student at her school, Wilkinsburg High School.

She was turning eighteen in May of 1999 and looking forward to her school prom.

She had never been in any trouble.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, during her senior year, her grandmother began to notice changes in Genelle.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, her grandmother said her grades began to drop. She said Genelle stopped doing her homework and studying regularly.

On April 27, 1999, Genelle attended classes at Wilkinsburg High School.

After school, she went to work on Ross Avenue at the YWCA.

Genelle left work and walked home.

She never arrived.

Witnesses reported seeing Genelle walking home from work, but she has never been seen or heard from again.

According to the Charley Project, Genelle was excited about her graduation n two months. Her friends reportedly said they felt she would not run away. They said she was excited about the upcoming prom and happy with her life, reports the Charley Project.

Even though Genelle left behind all her personal belongings and none of her associates felt she left willingly, investigators believe she left Pittsburgh on her own accord, reports the Doe Network.

Genelle Princess Bradford was 5'3-5'4" and weighed 96 pounds when she vanished.

She was wearing tan pants, a white shirt, black platform shoes, and a green jacket.
