The family of Davohnte Morgan is offering a $25,000 reward for any information that will lead to his location.

The 28-year-old San Franciso native vanished on May 5, 2020, while staying in Mt. Shasta, California.

“To my understanding, he was in a bad place, and he went up to Mt. Shasta for spiritual healing,” his mother Teri Barnes told KOBI 5 News. “When he came back, he was going to be a preacher.”

According to the Mt. Shasta Police Department, Morgan's girlfriend reported him missing.

She told investigators the couple got into an argument on the evening of May 4, 2020.

According to authorities, she told them she broke up with Davohnte, but the couple still spent the night together at the Cold Creek Inn in Mt. Shasta.

“When I talked to him, he wasn’t in the right place,” his mother Teri Barnes told KOBI 5 News. “I talked to him and they had one too many drinks, and the girl drove off.”

Davohnte's girlfriend told authorities she got up early the following morning and went to watch the sunrise.

At 9:00 am on May 5, 2020, she said she saw Davohnte as she walked back to their hotel room, no conversation occurred between them, and "he still appeared upset," reports KDRV.

She said Davohnte never returned.

Authorities located surveillance footage of Davohnte walking southbound on Mt. Shasta Boulevard after 9:00 am on May 5, 2020.

Investigators were able to track him on video surveillance through 10:00 am, but they were unable to locate Davohnte.

"Cell phone records show that the last time his phone had been pinged, it was to a location in Oakland, CA on May 3rd, the day before he arrived in Mt Shasta," police said, reports KDRV. "A second ping was done approximately a week later and confirmed that the phone had still not been turned on. The department also followed up on the use of a debit card believed to be in his possession, but the card was confirmed to not have been used since May 4."

"There is great concern for Davohnte at this point in the investigation as he has had no confirmable contact or activity," police said, reports KDRV. "Family is adamant that he would not have gone missing without contacting them. No family members have heard from Davohnte since his disappearance."

“That young woman knows what happened to him,” his mother Teri Barnes said, reports KOBI 5 News. “My son was a child of God, funny, loving, beautiful, and everybody loves him. He would not just leave us like that.”

Davohnte Van Morgan was 5'11" and weighed 165 pounds when he vanished.
