On September 26, 2016, 21-year old Keeshae Jacobs texted her mother, Toni Jacobs, to tell her she would be staying the night at a friend’s house.

Keeshae texted her mom that she would be home the next day, reports the Charley Project.

According to her mother, Keeshae, nicknamed Kee Kee and Shae, and Toni were very close, and Keeshae always communicated with her mother.

When Keeshae failed to return home, Toni didn’t hear from her daughter and was unable to reach her, she began calling friends and family.

No one heard from Keeshae.

She reported Keeshae missing on September 28, 2016.

Keeshae's last known location was at a home in the 3100 block of East Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia.

The house is close to Chimborazo Park.

Toni visited the house and according to her, a man gave numerous accounts about seeing Keeshae.

Toni called the authorities, but police were unable to locate Keeshae in the house.

Toni, desperate to find her daughter, canvassed the area, posting and handing out flyers of Keeshae.

In January of 2017, her son and Keeshae’s beloved 25-year old brother, Deavon, was shot outside a Motel 6 in Richmond, Virginia. The young man died of his injuries.

Toni's daughter, Keeshae, is missing, and her son, Deavon, was murdered.

Authorities do not believe the cases are related and a suspect was arrested for the murder of Deavon.

Toni spends her time posting Keeshae's picture and story, contacting missing person's organizations, and doing all she can to search for her daughter.

She was just featured on the HBO Docuseries: Black and Missing to raise awareness of Keeshae's case. The show debuted on November 23, 2021.

Toni, according to ABC 8 News, said authorities did not take Keeshae's disappearance seriously.

The mother said she tried to get help from the FBI to no avail.

“I called the F.B.I and I was pleading and begging them to please help me,” Toni told ABC 8 News. “So have I talked to anybody? No.”

“I’m still praying,” Toni Jacobs said, reports ABC 8 News. “Every day I pray, every night I pray.”

Keeshae's cellphone, social media, and bank accounts have remained inactive.

Keeshae, her overnight bag, identification, and cellphone have never been found.

Keeshae was 5’0″ - 5’3″ and weighed 100 - 110 pounds when she vanished.

Keeshae Jacobs was last seen wearing pink and black Nike basketball sneakers, a pink headscarf, and black basketball shorts.

She may have also possibly been wearing a silver Pandora bracelet with a “Vegas” charm.

She has brown hair and brown eyes, with the following tattoos: a rose on her shoulder, a flower on her right wrist, “Toni” beneath a heart on her left shoulder, a leaf on her right foot, and paw prints on her right thigh.
