Kenshon Ward, Shante Bohanan, Joanna Wright, and Mario Gulley were residents of the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the south side of Chicago.

21-year old Kenshon and 20-year old Shante were dating.

33-year old Joanna and 26-year old Marlo were friends.

The four knew each other.

On July 13, 2016, someone shot Kenshon multiple times in Marquette Park. He died from his injuries. Although Shante and several other people witnessed the shooting, no one saw the killer's face.

His murder remains unsolved.

On July 24, 2016, eleven days after Kenshon's murder, Shante disappeared.

Her parents reported her missing when she failed to return to her home near Marquette Park.

A few days after Shante vanished, an anonymous tip led police to a vacant garage in the same neighborhood where Shante disappeared.

There, authorities found Shante's body inside a garbage can in the garage.

Her cause of death is unknown.
