Is the heat making your household stir crazy? If you and the kids have been feeling cooped up, head out to Kid Fest 2021 this upcoming weekend to get out of the house and have some fun. This indoor event is being held at the Tucson Convention Center Saturday and Sunday, July 17th and 18th. Doors open at 11 am and close at 4 pm.
Tickets are $17 for 3+ ages for general admission, with some VIP Early Entry tickets being sold to get into the event an hour early. The VIP Tickets are $37 a person and have a super limited quantity.
Once you and the kids are in, get ready to have fun all day long. There is going to be a kid-sized Ninja Warrior Course for kids 5 and older to try out. Make sure your participating children have closed-toed athletic shoes to go on the course. You and your racing partner will get a photo at the end of you finishing the course.
Prep the family to meet T-Rex at the Jurrasic Encounter Zone. They'll have photos with a baby t-rex or a velociraptor in the dinosaur zone. They'll have a fossil digging challenge and a small Jurassic Obstacle Course to play on. If modern lizards are more your style, they'll have a Creature Encounter where you can meet and interact with snakes, lizards, and more. There will be photo opportunities as well as a mainstage show at 2 pm.
Beyond that, you'll find a Slime Zone, carnival rides, video games from the '80s, and more fun exhibits and booths to entertain you and the kids all day. There will be live music, Peppa Pig will make an appearance, games for all, dancing, and plenty more.
Parking is free, so get your tickets in advance, and prepare to have a fun weekend out of the heat and out of the house. There will be something for everyone in your family. Parents can enter to win prizes from the myriad of advertisers and sponsors at the venue. Kids can play games and get their energy out. Everyone gets out of the house, and out of the heat, to make some fun memories at the Kids Fest.
