This is such a heartwarming opportunity to give our pets a shout out and get them their 15 minutes of fame! I submitted a photo of our rescue dog, Sasha, and can't wait to see her sleepy face (pictured below) featured on our local billboard in a few days! She's a huge couch potato and the most excellent napping buddy, but also jumps at the chance to go on walks, hikes and all road trips.

Here's the scoop on how to get your pet featured:

Lamar Advertising loves pets and we know how much you love yours! For National Pet Month in May, we’re partnering with Shoutable to give you a chance to showcase your beloved animal on a Lamar digital billboard, completely free of charge.

Simply complete a submission by uploading information about your pet and an image, choose from one of our design templates, select a billboard location, time and date, and get ready to see your pet featured on one of our billboards in your community.

We are accepting submissions now through May 31st. Submit your photo here.

I love that Lamar is offering this free of charge! It would be wonderful to see them extend this promotion to local rescues and shelters to show adoptable pets on these billboards in the future. I appreciate that they let you choose the day and time your pet will be featured on the billboard, so you can plan to drive by and enjoy the moment as a proud pet parent! Next Step Thrift Store: A Helping Hand for Domestic Violence Victims

Are you a bargain hunter looking to save money on clothing, household items, toys, shoes and more while also supporting a worthwhile cause? Next Step Thrift Store in Kernersville has incredibly reasonable prices (lower than Goodwill in my experience) and a huge variety of items to choose from. When I was pregnant, I found most of my maternity clothes at their store and was also able to save a lot of money on baby items by shopping their Thursday sales each week. On Thursdays, shoes, clothes and purses are 50% off, and on the last Thursday of each month, the entire store is half off! They also offer a rewards program where you earn a few cents off each time you make a purchase, so you can build up discounts that way as well.
