I was shopping at the Kernersville Aldi this week when I noticed the ReStore "coming soon" sign right next door. How exciting to have the store up and running again! If you've shopped with them in the past 6 years, you'll remember their old location was on North Main St. by Food Lion, but they closed that location in mid-June of this year to prepare to move to the new location with more space.

New Location

819 S. Main Street, Suite B, Kernersville, NC 27284
Phone: 336.728.6856

Follow their Facebook page for updates on their grand opening on September 16th. To celebrate, they will be having special sales on the 16th and 17th.

If you've never shopped at a ReStore before, here's a brief summary from their website about what they sell and where proceeds go:

The Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at 25% – 75% of the retail price. The Forsyth ReStores are proudly owned and operated by our affiliate.

Proceeds from the ReStores go directly towards eliminating substandard housing and helping to break down barriers to opportunity for families in Forsyth County.

The Habitat ReStores advocate for the reuse of furniture, appliances, and building supplies. Each year we divert 200 tons of household materials from the landfills!

They always welcome volunteers and have several other ways to get involved such as the Habitat Young Professionals, The Hammer Society, and the Blueprint Breakfast.

I have always been impressed with ReStore's low prices and have found some incredibly unique furniture there in the past, so I look forward to browsing this new location next weekend!
