Shooting suspect arrested

A SUSPECT has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).

A man sought in a shooting incident at a fast food restaurant in Huntington Beach in September has been arrested.

According to the HBPD, Chaz Gooden, 33, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, was arrested Saturday for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident was on Sunday, Sept. 17 at about 11 p.m. at a Jack in the Box at 16311 Beach Blvd. Police responded to a report of a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers found the victim and he was taken to a local trauma center and he survived his wounds.

After extensive investigation, detectives identified a suspect, who had left the state. But on Nov. 4, he was discovered in the City of Fontana, where he was taken into custody with the assistance of Fontana police.

Gooden and an associate were arrested. His bail was set at $500,000.
