Sometimes the location is what makes or breaks the movie or tv show. Thus, most producers and directors take up the task of looking up for unique and beautiful spots for their latest movies or TV shows.

Las Vegas often falls into that category of places where exciting movies or TV shows can be made.

While it is a world-famous city for its gambling industry, there are many more charming features about the city that make it so attractive for film creators. Its beautiful architecture, famous landmarks and popular spots have made it on some of the most famous movies of all time.

So we thought it would be fun to look back on all the iconic filming locations in Las Vegas that have been featured in movies over the years. It could even make up for a fun afternoon sightseeing activity that will surely make you see Las Vegas from the eyes of a tourist.

Caesars Palace

You probably have seen this location in a few different movies. This casino and hotel opened in the 1960s and took design inspiration from the Roman Empire which you definitely can feel once you enter the building.

A giant statue of Julius Caesar in the entrance and décor dripping with statues, mosaics, fountains and marble - it sure looks like a fantastic filming location for a variety of movie genres.

The most notable ones were The Hangover, Iron Man, Dreamgirls, Rain Man and Intolerable Cruelty. Talk about a wide range of genres.

Fremont Street Experience

This location is the soul and heart of Las Vegas. So it is no surprise that this has been the backdrop to iconic moments of the entertainment industry.

Most of the video production houses have filmed their music videos here, for example, Bruno Mars 24K Magic music video. The entire area is famous for its beautiful architecture and construction style.

Some of the famous movies featuring Fremont Street are Get Carter, Con Air, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Starman and The Cooler.

Red Rock Canyon State Park

If you visit at least one filming location in Las Vegas, you must see Red Rock Canyon. It is one of the most stunning locations for hikers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Also, this is the location that is found in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, as well as Jurassic Park and Westworld.

The Venetian

If you want your movie to feel like it was filmed in Venice, this is the place. It features replicas of famous landmarks of Venice like the Piazza San Marco, St Mark’s Campanile, Doge’s Palace and Rialto Bridge along with its own gondoliers.

The Venetian has been featured in Ocean’s 11, Rat Race and one of the suites has even been featured in Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous.
