Oklahoma Onion Burger On The Blackstone Griddle

*The Oklahoma Onion Burger History* For almost a century, Oklahomans have enjoyed Fried Onion Burgers. Ross Davis of Ardmore, OK came up with this recipe as a way to cope with the high price of beef during the great depression. Onions were cheap and during hard times, people had to find a way to make a dollar stretch to feed their families. They did this by piling onions on the burger while it was cooking. The burger ended up costing less to produce but filled you up just the same. The flavor these burgers pack is simply amazing and you will probably never make burgers any other way ever again.
