Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, and since Friday happens to be St. Patrick's Day, it's a good excuse for you to check out one of Maine's Irish pubs and restaurants. You can enjoy a pint of Guinness and some Irish dishes, and make sure you are wearing green to really celebrate the holiday. Happy St. Patrick's Day! ☘️

Byrnes Irish Pub, 36 Centre Street, Bath

Byrnes Irish Pub is family owned and operated and has been open since March 17, 2008. They are open Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On March 17th, you can enjoy a special St. Patrick's Day menu featuring corned beef and cabbage and Guinness beef stew, along with live music and giveaways all day long to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Byrnes Irish Pub II, 16 Station Avenue, Brunswick

Byrnes Irish Pub II is family owned and operated by the Byrnes family, which also operates Byrnes Irish Pub in Bath. The pub was opened on March 17, 2010. They are open Tuesday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On March 17th, you can enjoy a special St. Patrick's Day menu featuring corned beef and cabbage and Guinness beef stew, along with live music and giveaways all day long to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Geaghan's Pub and Brewery, 570 Main Street, Bangor

Geaghan's has been open since 1975 and is one of the longest-established pubs in Maine. Geaghan's is open Monday and Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Leary's Landing Irish Pub, 156 Main Street, Bar Harbor

Leary's Landing Irish Pub has been open since 2007 and was named the best small-town bar in Maine by Thrillist. While most businesses in Bar Harbor are only open seasonally, Leary's, which is located in downtown Bar Harbor, is open year-round. Leary's menu offers Irish favorites along with local craft beer.

Leary's is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On March 17th, Leary's Landing Irish Pub will be offering specials and celebrations all day long, starting at 11:30 a.m.

O'Kelly's Irish Pub, 241 North Street, Houlton

O'Kelly's Irish Pub is small and cozy and located in the county. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

O'Reilly's Cure, 264 Route 1, Scarborough

O'Reilly's Cure is an Irish pub that has Irish dishes along with some Korean dishes, along with burgers and sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and desserts. O'Reilly's also offers a children's menu.

O'Reilly's Cure is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Paddy Murphy's, 26 Main Street, Bangor

Paddy Murphy's has been open since 2008, and they are well known for the New Year's Eve beach ball toss. Paddy Murphy's is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Paddy Murphy's offers Irish dishes such as corned beef and cabbage, cottage pie, and stout braised Irish bangers, along with appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers, including a veggie burger, soups and salads, and more. Paddy Murphy's offers a kids menu.

Ri Ra Irish Pub, 72 Commercial Street, Portland

The name Ri Ra is Irish for fun and merriment. Ri Ra even has some pieces of the pub from Ireland, including the back bar and counter from a small pub in a small coastal town called Annagassin Co. Louth; the entry doors from the street were salvaged from the Langtons Pub of Kilkenny; and the very old pot belly stove is from Spike Island Prison in Cobb Co. Cork.

Ri Ra's offers traditional Irish dishes such as Irish chicken curry, and beef & Guinness pie. You will also find burgers, and sandwiches, including a veggie burger, along with salads, appetizers, and dishes from the grill.

On March 17th, Ri Ra will offer a St. Patrick's Day menu starting at 11 a.m. along with entertainment throughout the day.

Ryan's Corner House Irish Pub and Restaurant, 17 Western Avenue, Kennebunk

Ryan's Corner House Irish Pub and Restaurant is owned by a husband-and-wife team who came to Maine from Ireland. Ryan's is open Monday from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Thursday from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Friday from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This is a family-style restaurant, and you will find Irish dishes like Guinness beef stew, fish, and chips along with pub food.
