This new month starts off with more outdoor activities, from another fishing derby to a winter fun day and more. If you are looking to get the kids out of the house, there are activities available for that. If you are looking for something to do, there is something for everyone, and there are activities for all ages. Saturday, March 4th
Bangor: There will be a craft fair at the Bangor Elks Club, 108 Odlin Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Belfast: Music Together will be held at the Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. This is a free class with a music teacher leading families in circle songs, instrument play, and rhythm.
Brewer: American Legion Post 98 is having a fundraiser dinner at the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center Brewer Auditorium, 318 Wilson Street, from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu is spaghetti and meatballs, with seatings at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The dinner is $8 per person in cash at the door.
Bridgton: Winter Fun Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Peabody-Fitch Woods Narramissic Farm on 46 Narramissic Road. Loon Echo Land Trust is offering a day of winter activities. There will be free adaptive and non-adaptive cross-country ski gear, fat bikes, and snowshoes, as well as an opportunity to sled. Volunteers will be on hand to teach cross-country skiing basics. This event is free, but please register here. The snow date is Sunday, March 5th.
Cambridge: The Cambridge Baptist Church, 9 North Road, will have the community clothes closet from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be free clothing for infants to adults.
Greenville: The 2nd annual Greenville Firefighters Moosehead Lake Ice Fishing Derby will be held this weekend at Moosehead Lake. Saturday the derby will be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registration and weigh-in stations are at the Greenville Fire Department, 10 Minden Street. $15 per person or $30 for a family. There will be cash prizes and door prizes.
Sunday, March 5th
Greenville: The 2nd annual Greenville Firefighters Moosehead Lake Ice Fishing Derby will be held this weekend at Moosehead Lake. Sunday the derby will be from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration and weigh-in stations are at the Greenville Fire Department, 10 Minden Street. $15 per person or $30 for a family. There will be cash prizes and door prizes.
Westbrook: Winter Fest is being held at Riverbank Park, 677 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event will have inflatable slides, a petting zoo, horse and wagon rides, bounce houses, food vendors, face painting, a s'mores station, music, a photo booth, an ice skating rink, and scheduled performances. Because of the upcoming snowstorm, this event was moved from Saturday, March 4th to Sunday, March 5th.
