Fun for the 4th in Maine

If you are looking for something fun to do on the 4th of July, Maine has you covered with many fun for all ages events going on. You can get out and enjoy a craft fair, a car show, or just enjoy some music. Here is a list of a few of the many events towns will be offering around the state. All events will take place on July 4th. Have a fun and safe 4th of July everyone!

Augusta at Mill Park, there will be food trucks at 2:00 p.m. with activities for kids and teens from 3-6 p.m. and live music at 4:30 p.m.

Bangor will have music at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. It's free to attend and you can arrive anytime with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. and sit anywhere you would like. The bathrooms will be open and concessions will be available to purchase. Local bands Dakota and The Stone Doctors will perform until 8:30 p.m. then The Bangor Symphony Orchestra will perform before the fireworks.

Bar Harbor will have a craft fair and marketplace at 21 Park Street from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. You can enjoy live music from 3:30 until 9:00 p.m. at the Town Pier.

Camden Rotary Club's annual Music by the Sea celebration will take place from noon until 7:30 p.m. The event is free and seating is limited so you can feel free to bring your picnic blankets and beach chairs. The event will be held at the Camden Harbor Park and Amphitheatre on Atlantic Avenue.

Dexter free picnic at 11:00 a.m. (until supplies run out) at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 59 Maine Street.

Eastport 9:00 a.m. is the 5th Annual Buddy Allen car, truck, and bike show at Bank Square. Cars are welcome to arrive at 8:00 a.m. and the judging will be at 10:00 a.m. Stick around after the show for some more fun and watch the rubber ducky race at 10:00 a.m.

Greenville will have a craft fair from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 112 Lily Bay Road.

Limestone will have a rolling car show at 12:30 p.m.

Presque Isle will have the Elks car show at 11:00 a.m., a free hot dog cookout, games, and contests for the kids, and from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. a bounce house for the kids.

Sebec will have a canoe race at 11:00 a.m.

South Portland will have a classic car show at 11:00 a.m. at Bug Light Park and from 4:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. there will be music, karaoke, performers, and food trucks at Bug Light Park.

Thomaston will have a craft tent from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Valley Street. A parade at 11:00 a.m. on Main Street with the theme "Be Your Best Self". A bounce house and games from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Valley Street. Registration starts at 2:30 p.m. for the cornhole tournament on Valley Street at 3:00 p.m.
