Hike | Purisima Creek Redwood North Ridge Trail
This week I travel along highway 35, the historic skyline blvd, and hike the Purisima Creek Redwoods North Ridge Trail. This trail is a 4.4 miles and reaches an elevation of 1361 feet. This trail offers plenty of shade and beautiful foliage through out the entire trailhead. Throughout the entire trail you will be immersed under large redwood forest. When the sun rays reach through the dense foliage it offers and amazing cascade of light that reach through the forest bed. I really enjoyed this hike but this short trail seems deceivingly simple. However, There are steep inclines and declines that can be challenging for the causal hiker. I definitely recommend a pair of good hiking shoes and plenty of water and snacks! There is a lot to like about this trail, from its short distance from the Bay Area to being immersed in the beautiful redwood forest. It is a moderate trail and is great for a morning hike or trail running.
