It has been more than a month since Naseem Isaiah Roulack, 21, also known as "Lil Nas," made a daring escape from the custody of the Virginia Department of Corrections. The young Woodbridge man had been serving a 13-year sentence for a string of serious offenses, including aggravated malicious wounding, grand larceny, and a hit and run incident in Prince William County. Now, the search for his whereabouts continues, leaving authorities and the community on edge.
Roulack's audacious escape occurred on August 12th at around 5:50 a.m. while he was receiving medical treatment at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in Henrico County. Despite the presence of two state corrections officers, Roulack managed to slip away, evading capture and leaving law enforcement agencies puzzled.
The Virginia Department of Corrections is spearheading the relentless hunt for Roulack, collaborating closely with the Virginia State Police as well as local and federal authorities.
