CHARLOTTE, NC – If you are an animal lover and looking for a place to spend your weekend, Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm is a must-go-to place for you. This hidden gem is located not too far from the city center and offers a great experience farm tour.
Located at 7408 Cedarbrook Dr, Charlotte, Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm was built on
3 acres wooded land. This farm offers farm tours that include hands-on experience where visitors can feed and interact with the farm animals such as alpacas, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, and emus—the largest birds in Australia that look like the ostrich.
Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm charges $15 for the 1-hour farm tour. The farm is open on weekends with different tour sessions. Visitors are suggested to check the available sessions and book their tour at the farm’s website.
Apart from farm tours, Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm also offers Paint & Sip with Alpacas (BYOB) event. Visitors will gather and create a portrait of the alpaca as their model. While you are painting your portrait, the alpacas will roam around freely and you are allowed to pet and feed them.
Visitors are required to pay $40 to join the Paint & Sip with Alpacas (BYOB). The event includes 2.5 hours of painting tutorial, documentation photos, paint materials, and a glass of wine as a complimentary drink.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm required all visitors and staff to wear masks during the tour and event. The farm will take a good look at the current situation and follow the recommendations from the CDC to prevent the spread of the viruses.
Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm is a private-owned farm since 2019. The owners as well as the tour guides, Jay and Nicole, built the farm to share their knowledge about the farm animals to the community and contribute to the supply of good quality local organic fruit.
