CHARLOTTE, NC - SHOUT! will return to the streets of Uptown Charlotte next month. It is an event that celebrates art, ideas, food, and music. The event will go on for 17 days from September 17 to October 3. Numerous thinkers, artists, and creators will take part in this event.
This year's event will once again feature the CLT DJ battle. Talented DJs from Charlotte will compete against each other in this event and the fans will vote whose music entertains them the most. Ariel Dominques or DJ DOMii was crowned as the winner of 2019 DJ battle.
“It’s dope that CLT DJ Battle will be a featured event at Charlotte SHOUT! this year as the city is eager to get back out and enjoy the excitement of top tier, party-rocking DJs going head-to-head in competition.” said the CLT DJ battle organizer, Dae Lee
Something new will also be featured in this year's event. Aguinaldo Junior, a Brazilian architect and photographer graduated from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), and his team will arrange a giant box camera using the world's first commercial camera Daguearreotype. Box Camera will showcase photos and videos about the history of cameras as well as Charlotte's historic photos.
“To see my greatest passions — art, architecture and photography — materialize in one project, rounded by great artists in the Queen’s City … it’s a dream fulfilled.” said Junior.
In addition, an Australian artists Craig Walsh will present an illuminated art installation that projects face portraits onto trees in Marshall Park. Visitors can see Walsh's Monuments at the park during the evening exhibition.
More details will be shared by Charlotte is Creative on the days leading up to the event.
