CHARLOTTE, NC - The NBA finally revealed the full schedule for the MGM Resort NBA Summer League 2021. The Charlotte Hornets will kickoff the tournament on the first day.
The MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 will take place on August 8-17 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. In this summer league: the Charlotte Hornets will kickoff the tournament on the first day Sunday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. ET. The Hornets will be up against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The second matchup of The Hornets will take place on Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. ET. The Hornets will play on consecutive days against the Sacramento Kings in the second match. Following on the third match, Charlotte will be against the San Antonio spurs on Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. ET. In the fourth contest, the Hornets will go up against the Toronto Raptors in a group play at 7 p.m. ET on Aug. 14.
All 75 games of MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 will contest all 20 NBA teams. The event starts with 4 preliminary games matching each of the teams. After every team plays four games, the 2 best-records teams will compete in Championship Game on Aug. 17, while the remaining 28 teams will play their fifth and final match on Aug. 16-17.
The Summer League will be hosted by Thomas& Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. Viewers will be able to watch the match on ESPN networks or NBA TV. For on-demand viewing, fans can also stream the game on ESPN App. Fans can now start purchasing tickets on NBAEvents.com.
