Featured Guests At Boston Book Fest 2022

The Boston Book Festival in downtown Boston will be returning in person next month. The event is on Saturday, October 29, around Copley Square and the main Boston Public Library. This event includes readers and authors, with book-signings, workshops, and presentations. The 2022 headliners in fiction and non-fiction have just been announced.

Patrick Radden Keefe, the author of Rogues: True Stories of Grifters, Killers, Rebels and Crooks, as well as Say Nothing and Empire of Pain, will be giving the Friday Kickoff Keynote on October 28. Rogues collects his literary journalism work for The New Yorker, covering these real-life stories of crime, forgery, and corruption.

Bessel van der Kolk, M.D. the author of The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma will present the Nonfiction Keynote. Also in non-fiction, Dr. Deborah Birx is the author of Silent Invasion: The Untold Story of the Trump Administration, Covid-19, and Preventing the Next Pandemic Before It's Too Late. She is best known for her role as the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator.

Malinda Lo, the YA author of Last Night at the Telegraph Club and the upcoming A Scatter of Light, and will give the YA Keynote. A Scatter of Light will be out October 4th, just before Boston Book Festival.

If you have kids in your life, you probably recognize Tui T. Sutherland, the author of the Wings of Fire series. She is also author of the Menagerie trilogy, and the Pet Trouble series. She will be giving the Kids Keynote at the Boston Book Festival.

The full schedule of events isn’t out yet, but will probably be announced soon. Other authors include Rory Power, the author of Wilder Girls, Burn Our Bodies Down, and In a Garden Burning Gold, and Jennifer Haigh, the author of Baker Towers, The Condition, and Mercy Street.

The Boston Book Festival is a free, in-person event in downtown Boston, with over 200 writers in different genres, giving talks, workshops and signing books. For kids, there will be children’s authors and kid-friend activities. You can follow Boston Book Fest on Insta for more updates and news.
