Hidden Florida: Devil's Den Prehistoric Spring

Devil's Den is an underground spring that is enclosed in a large cave-like chamber, formed by a collapsed dome of limestone rock. The crystal-clear water of the spring maintains a constant temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit, making it an ideal spot for year-round snorkeling and diving. Admission to Devil's Den is $18/pp Monday-Friday and $25/pp Saturday and Sunday for snorkelers. You can also rent snorkel gear for an additional $12. Scuba diving is $38 dollars with an option to rent full scuba gear for an additional $45. Snorkelers MUST make a reservation prior to visiting. If you are diving, a reservation is not necessary and the spots are first-come, first-serve. Devil's Den is located near Williston, FL about 30 minutes south of Gainesville and an hour and a half northwest of Orlando.
