As we Searched to Find Water to Fill Our Bus Tanks we were led, Unexpectedly, to New Friends too!

We were in the middle of showering the children when we ran out of fresh water in our bus’ holding tanks. Oh no! Fortunately we had a few gallons of drinking water that enabled us to finish showering. Now, we were in desperate search for a water faucet to fill our tanks. Usually finding a place to fill our water isn’t too difficult but presently it’s too cold in Nebraska to find a working faucet. In late fall, this part of the country blows the waterlines out that are exposed to the elements, to prevent them from freezing and breaking. Finally, our search came to an end when we found water unexpectedly at a TA Travel Stop. They had a large bay meant for working on large trucks and we were able to pull our bus in. There, indoors was a working water faucet. The mechanics had no customers and were happy to assist us. We enjoyed friendly jokes and laughter as we filled our tanks. We were so thankful for the water and happy to have made new friends.
