New Minion Land Attraction is Coming to Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando Resort is opening a new attraction called Minion Land this summer of 2023, according to this report.

The attraction features several rides, a Minion Cafe — along with several other themed restaurants — and plenty of opportunities to meet the lovable yellow creatures.

The new land expands upon the popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction and will debut a new collection of experiences for guests of all ages inspired by the Minions franchise.

According to this report, the highly anticipated Minion Land on Illumination Avenue at Universal Orlando Resort has released additional information about the food, laughs, and fantastic times guests can enjoy with the Minions.

Universal Orlando Resort also unveiled new details about food and experiences for its Minion Land attraction, which will open this summer.

In addition, according to this report, Minion Land will feature several rides including the beloved Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction and a new ride called Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast.

The new Minion Land will also debut a new collection of experiences for guests of all ages inspired by the Minions franchise.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a 3D motion simulator ride that takes you on an adventure with Gru and his daughters as you become a minion yourself. The ride is located in Universal Studios Florida and is part of the Despicable Me attraction.

Meanwhile, Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast is a moving walk-way stand-through shooting attraction that will become the centerpiece of Minion Land on Illumination Ave. It is replacing Shrek 4-D and not much is known about it yet as it's opening this summer.

According to this report, Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast will be an interactive attraction in which guests “blast your way to supervillain stardom.”

The attraction above will use “innovative screen technology, state-of-the-art gaming interactivity and elaborate physical sets” for an immersive game-based attraction.
