Raging Waves, Illinois' largest water park, is reportedly set to open for the season on June 3rd, 2023.
The 58 acres water park is located at 4000 N. Bridge St. in Yorkville, Ill., about 50 miles west of Chicago in Kendall County.
Raging Waves has 32 water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a kiddie pool. It also has a variety of food options and cabanas available for rent. Private cabanas cost $200.
Some of the popular rides at Raging Waves include The Boomerang, a giant funnel-like tube ride that sends you shooting down forty feet before sloshing you back and around the walls of the funnel.
You can also try rafting down the Crocodile Mile or experience the twirling Three Sisters. For heart-racing thrills, try the body slides.
The standard cost of a one-day "Any Day" ticket at Raging Waves is $55.00. However, you can get a discount on tickets if you purchase them ahead of time. Parking is not included in the daily ticket price.
“We are thrilled to kick off our 16th season and invite families back to Raging Waves this summer,” Randy Witt, co-owner of Raging Waves said in a statement.
“Offering guests the very best in family fun has always been at the forefront for our team at Raging Waves, and we cannot wait for guests to enjoy all that our waterpark has to offer," added Mr. Witt.
The water park schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances.
For the safety of their guests, all attractions are subject to temporary maintenance or safety shutdowns.
Attractions are also subject to closure and/or rotating schedule without notice as posted on their website. Check the park's schedule here for information.
