St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield, IL hosted Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry/Catholic Charities program on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm as posted on their Facebook page.
The event is part of Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry/Catholic Charities program which aims to provide food assistance to those who are struggling to put food on the table.
The Northern Illinois Food Bank is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious food and resources to those in need across 13 counties in northern Illinois.
The organization has been serving the community since 1983 and has distributed over 200 million meals since its inception.
The Mobile Pantry/Catholic Charities program is one of many programs offered by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
The program provides fresh produce and other groceries to those who are unable to access traditional food pantries.
This event is a great opportunity for those who are struggling to put food on the table. The program distributes food to those in need.
The Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet mobile food pantry delivers healthy food to people in need. All Mobile Food pantries are contact-free drive-thrus.
The men and women volunteers have asked the participants of the food giveaway to clear the space on their car trunks or back seat, so they could load boxes of food directly into the vehicles rain or shine.
The next Mobile Pantry food giveaway is scheduled for March 27, 2023 at the St. Joan of Arc located at 820 Division Street, Lisle, IL starting from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
