The Plainfield Village in IL announces the 2023 Yard Waste and Spring Cleanup dates, according to the Village Voice.
Plainfield Village residents can look forward to a cleaner and greener spring in 2023, as the Village Board has recently approved a new five-year contract with Waste Management that continues the weekly take-all service for refuse and recycling, as well as weekly yard waste collection from April through mid-December.

Yard waste collection will resume in April 2023 and continue through the second full week in December 2023.
Yard waste includes brush, grass clippings, and leaves that should be placed in brown yard waste bags or a Waste Management yard waste cart.
Sod, trees, stumps, dirt, stones, and landscape brick/pavers are not accepted as yard waste.
In addition, the Village will offer a Spring Clean-up Collection and a Fall Clean-up Collection in 2023, where residents can dispose of additional household waste, yard waste, and bulk items at no extra charge.
The Spring Clean-up Collection will take place the week of April 10th, 2023, and the Fall Clean-up Collection will take place the week of November 13th, 2023, on the residents’ regularly scheduled garbage day.
To summarize, yard waste collection at the Village will resume at the first pickup in April. The Spring Cleanup Week will be April 10 to 14. Please note that electronics items will not be collected during spring cleanup.
