NYC Authentic Vietnamese Food with the Restaurant Owner - Pho Hoai, Brooklyn
It’s been a long time coming, but we had the chance to dine with Ben’s friend and the owner of Phở Hoài, Brian Ngo! It’s a family restaurant, so Brian has been with this cuisine for over 2 decades. Did you know that Phở Hoài is the sister restaurant to Manhattan Chinatown’s Nam Son, Jackson Heights/Elmhurst’s Thai Son, Bay Ridge’s Pho Hoai, and some other of your favorite Vietnamese restaurants? No wonder everything tasted amazing 😋 During this lunch feast, Brian expertly unfolded all the deets on what Phở Hoài means, how to eat each dish, which sauce to pair them with, how they’re cooked and with what ingredients (except the secret sauce 🤪), how pho should NOT be made, and much more. We learned so much from this meal with Brian and left with super satisfied stomachs. Thank you Brian, you def expanded our palate - we’ll be back 🎉
