If you're looking for family-friendly activities to do at home this holiday season, look no further! Today, we're going to show you how to make candy canes dance in this fun science experiment! This is a quick and easy activity to try at home with your kids that include items that you probably already have at home.
You will need: 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup (ish) of crushed candy canes, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, and a bowl.
Step One: Combine vinegar and water into a bowl.
Step Two: Pour candy canes into the bowl with vinegar and water.
Step Three: Add 1/2 tsp of baking soda to the bowl.
Step Four: Mix everything in the bowl and watch the candy canes "dance".
*Make sure candy canes pieces are small for best "dancing".
Dancing Candy Canes: 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup water crushed candy canes 1/2 tbsp baking soda Pour vinegar and water into a bowl. Add the candy canes. Add baking soda. **Make sure the candy cane pieces are small (some of ours were too big, which is why they didn't "dance" as much).
