Valentine's Day Fingerprint Bookmark Craft

The Activity Mom

Keepsakes made with handprints or fingerprints are my FAVORITE! Make this Valentine's Day fingerprint bookmark as a keepsake or special gift!

First, cut rectangles from white paper. We used fancy edged scissors, but a straight line works as well.

Glue the white rectangle onto a piece of construction paper. Pick a color that you love.

Cut the rectangle out again, leaving a border of colored construction paper.

Put a small amount of paint onto a plate. Have your child how to dip their finger into the paint and stamp it onto the bookmark. Use two fingerprints to make each heart.

You may want to practice first on a different sheet of paper, showing your child how to move their wrist so that their fingerprint is at the correct angle.

Have your child write their name on the back and don't forget the date. We laminated our bookmarks for extra durability using THIS laminator (we use it for everything).
