Turn Cards into Puzzles for Kids

The Activity Mom

Wait! Don't throw your Christmas cards away! You can use them to make a puzzle for your kids. I love it when an activity is simple to prepare and provides a learning opportunity!

Cards with Christmas designs or even the photo cards that you got from your family and friends make great puzzles.

For younger children, cut the card into 4 pieces and challenge them to put it back together.

Cut it into more pieces or add diagonal lines in the puzzle for an extra challenge.

Other Ways to Use the Puzzles:

  • Keep the puzzles in a bag in your purse and pull them out when you have a long wait somewhere.
  • Add magnets to the back of the puzzle pieces and use them on a magnetic cookie sheet in the car on a long car ride.
  • Make it a puzzle on your refrigerator by adding magnets to the back of the pieces.
  • Hide the pieces in a room. Give your child clues to find the pieces and complete the puzzle.
