Recycled Bubble Wrap Pillow Craft for Kids

The Activity Mom

Remember when blow up furniture was popular? This craft reminds me so much of that time and is a fun way to use recyclables in a craft.

  • bubble wrap
  • recyclable filler - used wrapping paper, ribbon, grocery bags, etc.

Decide if you want the bubbles to be on the outside or inside of your pillow.

Fold a piece of bubble wrap in half.

Tape the all sides closed (except for one) with packaging tape.

Fill the inside of your pillow. We used left over wrapping paper and ribbon to make it a truly recycleable craft. You could also use colored shredded paper for a decorative look. No matter what you fill it with, get creative!

Tape the last open side closed with packaging tape and your pillow is ready. Sometimes the craft is about the process or the experience and not as much about the final product. Use the bubble wrap pillow for yourself, a doll, or to toss around. When you are done, recycle it!
