How to Find the Elusive Phipps Arch in Escalante, UT
Phipps Arch is a remote trail in Escalante, UT that takes hikers through multiple creek crossings, rock scrambling, a beautiful sandstone amphitheater, and an impressive arch at the end. Even though it is considered moderate, this hike requires good navigation skills along with class 3 rock scrambling toward the end. This is one of the trails in Escalante that will give you a taste of the backcountry without having to do an overnight backpacking trip.
