The trail to Sky Meadows in Mammoth Lakes is very beautiful. Even though it is only 4 miles round trip, it is a butt-kicker. You’ll gain about 1000ft within 2 miles. However, it is worth the effort because the Sky Meadows trail is gorgeous the whole way. It features the breathtaking emerald color lake (Emerald Lake), wildflowers, cascading waterfalls, and the lush meadows perched below the granite peaks of the Mammoth Crest and Blue Crag.
