Since there are so many fantastic science fiction movies, choosing just ten of the best was hard. But we gave it a try anyway. Here's our list of the ten best sci-fi films of all time:

1. Star Wars (1977)

This one is a no-brainer. The original Star Wars is a classic that arguably, started the craze of science fiction movies.

2. The Matrix (1999)

This mind-bending film was a ground-breaking hit when it was released, and it's still one of the best sci-fi movies out there.

3. The Terminator (1984)

Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfect as the unstoppable terminator in this action-packed classic.

4. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

This heartwarming film about a friendly alien is a must-watch for all science fiction fans.

5. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)

The original Star Trek series is a classic, and the movies are also good, especially the absolute standout among them, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
