We can guarantee you one thing: the scenery in the Greater St. Cloud area will keep you motivated to go the extra mile. It is not hard to go to the local parks with dirt paths and lovely scenery; 5 routes within 5 kilometers.

Quarry Park & Nature Preserve

This park offers picnic sites, swimming quarries, trout fishing, granite quarries, toilets, and many more to accompany you on a walk or to do it all. This park's outer circle is a 2,17-mile hard-packed, natural surface path. The park requires a $5 daily fee or an annual $20 to be paid on site. Note, this park has heavy traffic in the summer months because of the swimming quarry—map of Summer Rd 137, Waite Park, MN 56387 1802 Co.

Bob Cross Nature Preserve

A run through Bob Cross Nature Preserve is made even more enjoyable by the singing of birds, the swimming of loons, and the meandering pathways. Park at the Sauk Rapids Middle School and the trailhead is located at the end of 8th Ave S, on the west side of the school. When both sections of this route are combined, the distance traveled is less than 1.5 miles. There are no restrooms on the premises. MAP 8th Avenue South, Sauk Rapids, Minnesota 56379.

George Friedrich Park

This path overlooks the granite quarry of Gottfried Hilder and is a short trail with several unusual discoveries. Please note that this path is mostly natural, and there are no restrooms on the premises. Parking is located at the end of the University Drive SE and 19th Ave SE St. Cloud junction, MN 56304.
