CLEVELAND, OH — A Cleveland-based organization supporting artists, La Cosecha Galeria, will host an event titled “Black Friday: Winter Art Sale” on November 26 at 4490 Pearl Road, Cleveland, OH 44109, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST.
The event will offer the original artwork by artist Will “Topiltzin” Sanchez for sale at a 50 percent discount. The reason Topiltzin is selling his artwork is that he wants to create space for his next paintings as he gets ready for a new chapter of his work.
In 2019, he was named to Cleveland Magazine's Most Interesting People for 2019. He was one of 12 artists selected by Cuyahoga County to take part in the Center for Performance and Civic Practice's Learning Lab, which was supported by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. In addition, Topiltzin was also nominated to apply for the 2020 Joyce Foundation Award.
Since 2001, the organizer of this event, La Cosecha Galeria, has been supporting artists to develop not only as studio artists but also as artists who are willing to work with community partners and local residents on a common aspiration.
The form of support provided by this organization is by holding training and events every year to assist the professional career development of artists including workshops, seminars, talks, peer discussion groups, as well as visual arts events and exhibitions.
In carrying out its programs, La Cosecha Galeria cooperates with local authorities, visual arts venues, and a number of other parties.
The organization's operating hours are Sunday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. To learn more about this organization, please visit www.lacosechagaleria.com.
